All our beef and steaks are sourced from organic rare breed Longhorn cattle from Quenby Hall in Leicestershire. Longhorn cattle are very much a case of quality over quantity, which is why they’re our favourite (and apparently Heston Blumenthal’s) choice of meat; they take longer to mature, meaning their meat has a richness to it which makes a perfect choice for steak.
Cooking wise we keep it simple but effective. We cook all our steaks on a real charcoal grill, giving it a smoky edge whilst keeping in all the delicious flavours. The meat is then left to rest to allow the steak to continue to cook gently and intensify the flavour.
To complement our steaks we have a range of traditional sides from triple cooked or beef-dripping chips, mashed potato, spinach and onion rings amongst others.
Dessert wise we’re keeping it traditionally British too with sticky toffee and bread & butter puddings and delicious Henley’s ice cream.
Food is served from 12 – 3pm and 5 – 9.30pm Monday to Thursday, 12 – 9.30pm Fridays and 10am – 9.30pm Saturday and Sunday with special roast menu for Sundays.
